Salem Express Wreck – Tragic Ferry & Respectful Dive
Salem Express Wreck sits at 26°38’N – 34°03’E — a large ferry sunk in 1991, resting mostly intact with multiple decks and superstructure.
Divers enjoy deep wreck dives, exterior explorations, and limited penetration (for experienced only).
The site requires respectful diving due to its tragic history as a passenger ferry.
Expect lionfish hovering, glassfish schools inside, jacks patrolling, and soft corals growing over the structure.
Recommended for Advanced Open Water divers; Wreck Specialty strongly advised for penetration. Salem Express offers solemn Red Sea wreck diving with impressive scale and marine life.
