Careless Reef – Mid-Sea Plateau & Shark Action
Careless Reef sits at 27°50’N – 34°17’E — a classic mid-sea plateau with two prominent pinnacles rising from deeper water and a steep wall dropping beyond 40 m.
Divers enjoy drift dives along the wall, deep explorations, coral gardens, narrow channels, and pinnacle swims. The site is known for frequent shark sightings and rich biodiversity.
Expect white-tip reef sharks cruising the plateau, moray eels in crevices, large barracuda schools, green turtles, and beautiful gorgonians swaying on the wall.
Recommended for Advanced Open Water divers due to depths and currents. Careless Reef delivers thrilling Red Sea diving with excellent visibility and big marine encounters.
