El Mina Wreck – Historic Shipwreck & Deep Penetration

El Mina Wreck sits at 27°13’N – 33°58’E — a 1969-sunk freighter resting on a sandy bottom, with penetration possible in select areas. Divers enjoy deep wreck dives and controlled penetration explorations. The site is known for its historical interest, structure, and resident marine life. Expect large morays in openings, lionfish hovering, glassfish schools inside, and urchins covering parts of the wreck. Recommended for Advanced Open Water divers due to depth and wreck requirements. El Mina delivers classic Red Sea wreck diving with excellent marine life and exploration opportunities.
